Iron Pour Saturday, August 5, 2000 2 PM in the parking lot next to Blackfish Gallery. A public iron pour brings into prominence the importance of process in visual art. The three exhibiting artists will bring prepared sand molds, heat up a furnace to 2800 F using coke, melt 500 pounds of iron and pour the molds. The process is full of smoke, fire, sparks, soot and fury.
